Delete Your Account.
You can ask us to delete your NairaFlow App account or an individual business at any time. This page is public and does not require you to sign in.
Deletion is carried out by our team, not instantly in the app.
NairaFlow App has no self-service account deletion. You send a request, we verify that you control the account, and an administrator performs the deletion. This is deliberate: it stops anyone else from deleting your books.
1. What you can ask us to delete
A single business
Removes that business and everything attached to it — its transactions, products, inventory, contacts, debts, invoices, supplier invoices, leads, projects, properties, bookings, maintenance records, reviews, staff accounts and assistant conversations. Other businesses on the same owner account are untouched.
Your whole account
Removes the owner account you sign in with, together with every business it holds. If you only want one business gone, say so in your request — deleting the account removes all of them.
2. How to send the request
Email [email protected] with the subject “Account deletion request”, and include:
- the email address on the account;
- the phone number on the account, if you set one;
- the name of the business you want deleted, if you are deleting one business rather than the whole account.
You can also reach us at [email protected] if you would rather use the general support address. Either route reaches the same team.
Because a deletion cannot be undone, we may ask you to confirm that you control the account before we act — for example by replying from the registered email address. This is so that nobody else can have your records deleted. We respond to verified requests within the period required by law.
3. Before you delete: export what you need
Deletion is permanent. Nothing we delete can be recovered afterwards. If you might need your figures for tax, filing or your own records, export them first:
- CSV export is available in the app for products, contacts, transactions, invoices, supplier invoices and debts.
- PDF download is available for individual invoices.
- For a copy of everything in a business, ask us and we will produce it for you.
Data you exported before deletion remains yours to keep.
4. What we may keep after deletion
Once a business is deleted, its records are deleted with it. Two limited exceptions:
- Records we must keep by law — for example accounting, tax and dispute records, where a legal obligation requires us to retain them.
- Backups — deleted data may remain in backups until those backups rotate out.
Administrative audit log entries are also retained for accountability and dispute resolution. Our Privacy Policy sets out the full retention position in section 7.
5. If you only need to remove some things
You do not have to delete a whole business to tidy your records. Most things can be removed by you, in the app, straight away:

6. Your other data rights
Deletion is one of several rights you have under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. You can also ask to access, correct, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy of data you provided, or withdraw consent where processing rests on consent. Section 8 of the Privacy Policy explains each one and how to use it.
